Here are some common questions and answers.

  • What methods of payment do you accept?

We currently accept VISA or MasterCard credit card payments which must be made online – we cannot accept purchase orders, cheques, or payment over the phone.

  • Can I upgrade to a higher-level licence after purchasing the single or business licences?

Yes, if you purchase the personal or business editions, they may be upgraded to an edition which allows for more server installs. Please review the Licence Upgrades section in our Terms and Conditions for more information.

If you are already a licence holder and wish to upgrade, please visit Your Account.

  • Which browsers are supported?

MasterPress Pro is tested and supported on the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, and Safari on both the Windows and OS X platforms. We also test on Internet Explorer versions 11 and above – Internet Explorer versions 6 and 7 are not supported.

We endeavour to make MasterPress usable on Mobile browsers such as Safari for iOS (iPhone / iPad), but screen space and device speed limitations mean the user experience is not optimal.

  • Does MasterPress work on WordPress.com hosted sites?

No, we cannot provide access to the MasterPress plugin for WordPress.com users, since they do not allow additional plugins to be installed.

  • Do you offer refunds?

We do not generally offer refunds on licence purchases, but we may do so under certain circumstances provided we are contacted within 7 days of the original purchase. Note that if we are willing to offer a refund, the licence associated with the refunded purchase will be revoked.

  • What does it cost to renew my licence?

Customers can renew their licence within 60 days after the expiration date at 50% of the regular price of the relevant licence price (the expiration date being 1 year after the original licence purchase or previous renewal).

For example, if you have purchased the developer licence at $399 AUD (or a discounted price), the renewal cost will be $199 AUD for the next year if you renew within 60 days after the expiry, or $399 AUD again thereafter.

We will send you a reminder notice via email just before your licence will expire.

  • What do I get when I renew my licence?

Renewing a licence ensures that you will retain complete access to our support forums and you’ll continue to receive all software updates to the MasterPress plugin, some of which may be required to maintain compatibility with future releases of WordPress itself.

  • What happens if I don't renew my licence? Will the software stop working?

When your licence expires, you will no longer have access to software updates, and access to our support forum (and priority support for Developer licence holders).

The current version of your software will continue to function, that is, we will not automatically disable it. Please note that future updates to WordPress may break compatibility with versions of MasterPress that are not the latest, so you may need to re-purchase a licence at this time to keep your site running correctly. It is important to keep WordPress up-to-date for security reasons, so keeping your licence active is highly recommended.

  • Where can I find my licence key?

We will email the licence key to you once payment has been received. You can also find a list of your active licence keys under the Your Account area of this site.

Ability to deactivate licence domains within MasterPress account management

25th October 2024

We have just rolled out an account management feature which allows licence holders to have better control over the domains that use their licence key. From the MasterPress Account Management page, the list of Active Sites that use your licence now includes a function that allows you to remove a domain from your licence. Simply…

Plugin Requirements

MasterPress requires a minimum of WordPress version 4.9, MySQL 5.6, and PHP version 5.6.20.

We also recommend that PHP is configured to use a memory limit of 64MB per request (128MB may be required for sites with higher complexity).

This plug-in is not compatible with the WordPress.com hosted service.
