WOOF :: user( Mixed $id = null )

Returns:

  • MEOW_User An object representing the user
  • WOOF_Silent An object for silent failure, if the user cannot be found.

Retrieves a MEOW_User object for the given id. This method is very flexible in that the id argument can be a number of different values which would uniquely identify a user (see argument description).

Returns a WOOF_Silent object for silent failure if a user cannot be found.

Example:

Parameters:

  • Mixed $id = null

    The “id” to search for – this argument is flexible in that it can be any one of the following:

    • A username – e.g. “johnsmith”
    • An email address – e.g. “johnsmith@domain.com”
    • A user ID – e.g. 2, or even “2”
    • null (not provided). This will attempt to return the current (logged in) user

Plugin Requirements

MasterPress requires a minimum of WordPress version 4.9, MySQL 5.6, and PHP version 5.6.20.

We also recommend that PHP is configured to use a memory limit of 64MB per request (128MB may be required for sites with higher complexity).

This plug-in is not compatible with the WordPress.com hosted service.
