WOOF :: remote_get( String $url, Arguments $arguments = array() )

Returns:

Retrieves a remote web page using the HTTP get method, via the WOOF_Request class, which is a wrapper for the WordPress HTTP API.

Note: this method can also cache the result for a given amount of time, providing a very concise way to retrieve the content of another site or service in a performant manner.

Example:

Parameters:

  • String $url

    The url for the remote site. Note that you may drop the protocol in which case the method will assume you want “http://”

  • Arguments $arguments = array()

    An arguments string or array supporting the following parameters:
    * cache – a string representing a duration of time, as accepted by the WOOF::cache method, or false if you do not wish to cache (the default)

Plugin Requirements

MasterPress requires a minimum of WordPress version 4.9, MySQL 5.6, and PHP version 5.6.20.

We also recommend that PHP is configured to use a memory limit of 64MB per request (128MB may be required for sites with higher complexity).

This plug-in is not compatible with the WordPress.com hosted service.
