WOOF_PostType :: named( String $slug )

Returns:

  • WOOF_Post An object representing the post if it exists
  • WOOF_Silent An object for silent failure otherwise.

An alias for the WOOF_PostType::post method, to retrieve a post object of this type for the given slug. Note that this method forwards on to the WOOF::post method to retrieve the post, so in theory the $slug parameter can be a slug, ID, or even a WOOF_Post object. The intention when using this method alias is that you would use a slug, however.

Example:

Parameters:

  • String $slug

    The slug of the post (preferred, see description).
